I love chocolate… who doesn’t?! It has so many health benefits; especially if you are going for good quality dark chocolate. I’m happy that I truly enjoy it. But recently I’ve discovered a perfect liquid alternative.
Hot cocoa is usually considered as a cozy wintertime drink, you add some marshmallows, whipped cream and it becomes a real indulgence in a cup. But in this post, I want to share the benefits of cacao which is a better version for you and your body. Both cocoa and cacao are made from cacao beans, but to make it cocoa the beans are processed with higher heat. This usually destroys most of the nutrients and therefore the final product has less nutritional value. Cocoa is more popular due to being sweeter and after adding some stabilizers and preservatives becomes a part of cheaper chocolates, desserts, and some popular cocoa mixes. But we are here to explore a better and healthier option, which tastes amazing too.
After analyzing all the powerful benefits of cacao I’ve started to drink it on daily basis and upgraded it by adding some powerful ingredients.
Cacao is full of antioxidants and flavonoids, and the best part it has zero caffeine which makes it good for dancers of any age. Some studies prove that it works as a mood enhancer because it contains four scientifically proven chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, phenylethylamine, and anandamide. It also contains iron, zinc, and magnesium, which are also great for dancers. For me, Cacao is not just a tasty drink, but also a vessel to deliver powerful nutrients into my body.
Let me share with you some of my cacao options.
